We wished Her Majesty a very happy Platinum jubilee celebration and many more long years.
All eligible members of the 2nd Battalion have received their Platinum Jubilee medal. Commemorating 70 years of service to the people of the UK from HM Queen Elizabeth II. The Colonel of The Mercian Regiment; Lieutenant General Cave CB, and Commanding Officer of the 2nd Battalion; Lieutenant Colonel Grover MBE, presented the servicemen and women with their medals, including Private Derby XXXII. The Parade ended with a fantastic event for all 2nd Battalion’s soldiers, officers, friends and families.
