The Cheshire Military Museum is opening its doors at different times! The museum is now open Thursday-Monday from 10:00-4:00 (last entry at 3:30). An extra day to explore the museum PLUS an extra hour! Slowly but surely, the museum is returning to its pre-COVID days when it was open all week. As usual, new volunteers are welcome to fill in the extra day.
“The team are looking forward to seeing lots of new visitors and of course our regulars!” says Museum Officer Caroline Chamberlain. “Hopefully the extra hours will give more people the opportunity to explore our wonderful collection this summer.”
A highlight of the museum this summer is the temporary exhibition on Jungle Warfare, featuring a life-size camp diorama, a morse code telegraph, and live leeches. The exhibition will be on until 1 September.
And don’t forget! The museum courtyard contains benches and tables, so pack up some lunch, bring the family along, and have a picnic. Even your dog is welcome. Just because you’re in a museum doesn’t mean you ignore the sunshine.
