Cheshire is lucky to have access to the ‘We Still Need You’ programme for veterans who would like support. This programme is run by Mentell (https://mentell.org.uk) who are happy to reach out to anyone to help. Mentell is a UK charity that provides groups for males aged 18+ to talk in a safe and confidential space. The We Still Need You programme is an innovative new project led by Mentell, focused on reducing loneliness, isolation and suicide risk among male veterans in Cheshire East. The project empowers veterans to become trained facilitators of peer support groups—helping men talk, free from advice or judgment.

For anyone interested, Mentell is hosing 2 ‘more information’ days later this month, the first of these is at the YMCA in Crewe on Sunday 20th July at 1:00pm and the second will be online via Teams on Tuesday 22nd July at 1:00pm.

Contact veterans@mentell.org.uk to register and for more information on the programme and the two information days.
